A staffing platform that places remote contractors, trains them in its own academy, and runs every step after the hire
Guru.pro places pre-vetted remote contractors in Tech, Marketing, and Sales roles, with a training academy built in. We built the whole platform: a public site with a live pricing calculator, a learning system, a CRM and deal pipeline, HR and finance tools, placement tracking, and multi-role auth.
- A homepage with a live pricing calculator showing bi-weekly, monthly, and annual rates next to a local-hire comparison.
- A learning management system with courses, lessons, enrollment, certificates, and leaderboards.
- A CRM and deal pipeline with a Kanban board, stages, analytics, and a sales calendar.
- An HR employee dashboard for onboarding, leave, announcements, and appraisals.
- A finance system with invoicing and payroll.
Where they were stuck.
- ✕Buyers couldn't see what a contractor would cost versus hiring locally. The homepage needed a live calculator showing bi-weekly, monthly, and annual rates next to a local-hire comparison.
- ✕Every contractor Guru places has to be trained and certified. That meant a real learning system with courses, lessons, enrollment, and proof of completion. Not a folder of videos.
- ✕Sales, HR, and finance all touched the same people. The platform had to handle deals, onboarding, payroll, and invoicing in one place instead of four tools.
- ✕A learner, an employee, a client, and an admin each log in for different reasons. Each one needed its own view and its own permissions.
What we did.
- Built everything on one stack so the public site, the academy, and the back office share the same data and auth.
- Put the pricing calculator first, so the cost question gets answered before anyone fills out a form.
- Wired in the services the business runs on: Google Calendar for scheduling, Twilio for messaging, Recharts for the analytics views.
- Validated input across forms and APIs with Zod so bad data stays out of the system.
The build.
